Dr. Ruth Bernardez-Tan obtained her degrees in Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Doctor of Medicine from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. She completed her residency training in Pediatrics at the University of Florida Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart in Pensacola, Florida, where she served as Chief Resident in her senior year. After residency, she worked at Los Barrios Unidos Community Clinic in Dallas, Texas for seven years and was the Medical Director prior to starting her own private practice in 2002. It is also at this clinic where she learned to speak Spanish, understand the Hispanic culture and worked with the underserved population. Dr. Bernardez-Tan is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is affiliated with the Medical Center of Arlington where she cares for newborn babies.
Dr. Bernardez-Tan lives in Arlington with her husband while her children, who now live out of state, pursue their college education. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time and traveling with her family, shopping, and watching sports.
Because of Dr. Bernardez-Tan’s dedication and commitment to the healthcare of children, her practice has grown to include visiting another clinic that i staffed by Practitioners who share her passion and love for Pediatrics.

Christina was born in Wichita, Kansas and is a graduate of Midwestern State University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She obtained her Master of Science Degree at The University of Texas at Arlington.
Christina has about 15 years of nursing experience in pediatrics, with a special interest in Pediatric Hematology Oncology. After the love of taking care of children with cancer and blood disorders Christina felt the need to help children from birth to young adult age.
In her spare time, Christina enjoys reading, running, working out, and enduring new challenges. She is the mother of two girls and three boys who are now all in college pursuing their dreams. She has worked at Rainbow since 2018 and loves taking are of this population of patients. Christina’s quote she lives by is “Always give 100% to whatever you set your mind to”.

Lori Ebenkamp MSN, APRN, CPNP-PC was born and raised in Gruver, Texas. She is a proud product of the Texas Panhandle.
Ms. Ebenkamp obtained her undergraduate/bachelor’s degree from West Texas A&M University in 2007. She then worked for five years as an RN in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Baptist St. Anthony’s Hospital in Amarillo. She sought a higher learning platform as well as a higher degree in nursing and therefore moved to Dallas in 2012 in search of that. Lori was employed at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas in their Level I Neuro/Trauma Intensive Care Unit for 6 more years as a Registered Nurse and became certified as a trauma RN (CCRN). She had the opportunity to collaborate with world renowned pediatric brain surgeons along with pediatric residents, fellows, and attendings who specialized in anesthesia, neurology, cardiology, trauma, ortho, etc. During that time, she obtained her Masters in Nursing at The University of Texas at Arlington and graduated in the August class of 2018. Afterwards, she became certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care (APRN, CPNP-PC) and began working in and serving her own community in December of 2018. Ms. Ebenkamp has been at Rainbow since October of 2021 and enjoys being able to help children and their families on a daily basis. She thrives in a pediatric setting and is passionate about kids with asthma and allergies as well as safety regarding ATVs, four wheelers, and dirt bikes.
Ms. Ebenkamp has been married to her husband, Blake since 2014 and they are parents to a furry, fierce but loving, 3-pound Maltese-Yorkie mix named Chloe. When Lori isn’t working you can find her following her husband Blake to his motocross races, taking a Pilates class on her Mirror, hiking or fishing, spending time outside, and reading and reviewing books! She is ecstatic to be a part of the team at Mayfield and welcomes you to the clinic!

Rose was born and raised in Fort Worth, TX.
Rose obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2017. She then worked for 5 years as a labor and delivery nurse at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Tx. During her time there, she wanted to use her passion in caring for others to deliver a higher level of care for her patients. Rose obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington in December 2022.
Rose is fluent in Vietnamese. She enjoys hanging out with her friends and family, traveling, reading, going to concerts, and binge-watching shows on Netflix.
Rose has been at Rainbow Children’s Clinic since March 2023. She is happy to serve the pediatric population and welcomes you to Rainbow!

Mrs. Scheer obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Jacksonville University in 2018. Jessica decided that she wanted a change from Florida and moved to Dallas, Texas to be closer to her sister and her family, including two beautiful nieces and a nephew. Jessica then went on to work at Parkland Hospital as a Newborn Admission Team nurse that specialized in helping families with their newborn for the first few hours of the infant’s life. In this experience she mastered newborn care and the challenging aspects of the birthing process. Jessica also worked at Medical City McKinney in the newborn nursery during this time caring for newborns and assisting families with the challenges of adding a new member to their pack. With this experience, Jessica knew that she wanted to be able to help children of all ages and help families navigate their ever-changing children and family dynamic, so she went back to school to obtain her Master in Primary Care Pediatric from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2022. Jessica started at Rainbow Children’s Clinic in 2022 and is passionate about serving the community and everyone that lives in it.
Jessica recently got married in Colorado to her husband, Kevin. Jessica loves to go on adventures with her husband that include camping with the pop-up tent that is on their truck, hiking, and enjoying the outdoors. Jessica and Kevin also have two fur babies named Daisy and Wyatt. Jessica is very passionate about her babies and helping any animals in need. She tries every day not to bring home another one because if she could, she would. Jessica also loves to read and continues to expand her knowledge about the ever-changing pediatric world. Jessica is thrilled to be a part of such an amazing team and is excited to meet and help the Rainbow Children’s community.

Born and raised in Dallas, TX, she is a proud graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington, where she earned both her BSN and MSN. Since 2017, she has been a dedicated pediatric nurse with extensive experience in pediatric home health, specializing in the care of complex care patients. During this time, she discovered her true passion for supporting both the patient and their family as a cohesive unit. With the ability to speak in Spanish, she can connect with a diverse range of families, ensuring clear communication and compassionate care. Outside of nursing, she enjoys traveling, reading, creating arts and crafts, and spending quality time with friends and family. She is also an avid explorer of new foods and restaurants. She approaches every endeavor with determination and bears a passion for achieving her goals.

Katrina was born in the Philippines and raised in Grand Prairie, Texas. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Texas at Austin and completed her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
From a young age, Katrina had a passion for helping others and a deep appreciation for education. She discovered that a career as a Physician Assistant perfectly combined her interests while allowing her to serve her community. During her training, Katrina gained experience in various medical specialties and developed a strong passion for pediatrics, which she is excited to pursue in her career.
In her free time, Katrina enjoys cooking new recipes, reading, staying active, listening to podcasts, and watching movies. She cherishes quality time with her fiancé, family, and close friends.
Katrina is thrilled to be part of the Rainbow Children’s team and is dedicated to giving back to the community where she grew up. Millicent Palacios is a dedicated Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with over 14 years of experience providing compassionate and comprehensive care to children and their families. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2010 from St. Louis University and worked as an RN on the Medical-Surgical Unit at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri for 10 years. In 2015, she sought higher education and entered into a nurse practitioner program. She graduated with her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2019. She is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
Prior to starting at Rainbow Children’s Clinic, she worked as a Hospitalist Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital for 4 years. She has a passion for both primary care snd acute care. Millicent is passionate about pediatric healthcare, patient education, and preventative care.
In her free time, Millicent enjoys being with friends and family. She considers herself a foodie and loves to visit new restaurants. She is new to the DFW area and is excited to serve children at RCC!
